The luxury high-rise community situated in San Diego will soon have access to a 24/7 automated shopping store.
Accel Robotics, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and computer vision technology provider, is set to open a new 1,500sq ft autonomous store within Brookfield’s Vantage Pointe called Valet Market. Shoppers at the store will download the store’s app and use their phone to check in.
Upon entering via the app, customers can select their desired items and walk out without having to wait in-line to check out. Products are tracked via in-store technologies, including computer vision, shelf-level sensors, and artificial intelligence. Once customers have left the store, a receipt will be delivered promptly to the customer’s mobile phone.
Valet Market houses a number of locally sourced products, including baked goods, dairy and everyday convenience items.
Brandon Maseda, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Accel Robotics, commented: “Valet Market signals a new era in modern convenience that offers community residents 24/7 access to autonomous shopping while serving as a distribution hub for the larger community. We’re enabling a grab-and-go store of the future for a fast, hyper-local shopping experience.”
