The British designer has finally opened The Village, located on the Cadogan Estate in Chelsea, London.
A first of its kind project, The Village brings together five neighbouring stores to offer an immersive and truly engaging retail experience.
The five elements of The Village include The Anya Café, which serves tea, coffee, pastries and salads as well as a selection of specially crafted AH cakes and biscuits; The Village Hall, an evolving concept space that is set to initially host the ‘Anya Hair Salon – Shampoo & Therapy’; The Plastic Shop, which is a space dedicated to circularity and the reduction of plastic; The Labelled Shop which is a store dedicated to Hindmarch’s love of labels and the art of organisation and The Bespoke Shop, which ties into the brands heritage as it is located on site of the very first Anya Hindmarch shop. The Bespoke Shop will continue to offer personalised gifts.
Hindmarch commented: “I feel that the next ten years are going to about ‘localisation’ not ‘globalisation’ and it feels so right to return to the brand’s roots here on the Cadogan Estate and to realise my dream of The Village. If retail is to exist in a digital world, there needs to be a reason to visit.”
