The Los Angeles-based specialty lighting retailer is set to offer flexible and interest-free payments to online shoppers.
The company is exclusively partnering with payments solution platform Sezzle Inc. to let customers on its e-commerce site pay for products in four interest-free instalments over six weeks, with no impace to their credit score. In addition to enabling consumers to “buy now, pay later” (BNPL) for online purchases, Sezzle also allows them to build credit via Sezzle Up, a feature that gives users the ability to report payment history to credit bureaus and build their credit scores.
Sezzle will feature Lamps Plus among retail partners in both its app and online shopping directory. According to Lamps Plus, it is eager to grow its demographic of millennial and Gen Z shoppers, who represent a sizable portion of Sezzle’s user base. The retailer also sees Sezzle’s payment options as appealing to new homeowners who may need a financial break while dealing with renovation and moving expenses.
