New Popeyes Constructed in Under Two Weeks

The American multinational fast food chain continues its expansion in Canada with a new stoer that was built in record time and with very limited construction waste.

Located in Abbotsford, British Columbia the new restaurant is expected to open by Autumn 2021. Constructed in less than two weeks by green construction technology company Nexii Building Solutions inc, the new building will reduce carbon emissions by around 30 per cent due to the building materials utilised and assembly process.

Nexii’s unique green building products are manufactured in plants meaning that Nexii panels simply fit together like jigsaw pieces onsite, accelerating build times from 50 per cent to 70 per cent.

“As a company, we are committed to building the most loved restaurant brands in the world, and reducing our environmental impact while doing so,” said Robert Manuel, General Manager, Popeyes in Canada. “We are therefore excited to partner with Nexii to reduce the carbon emissions of an upcoming Canadian restaurant in British Columbia. This is just one of many steps we’re taking as a brand to positively affect climate change.”
