Ahead of the official launch of the highly-anticipated Expo 2020 Dubai event, the Swiss Pavilion has launched an exclusive pop-up installation at The Galleria Al Maryah Island.
Called ‘Swiss Fog Magnified’, the installation consists of an open white cube with over 1,000 crystal glass droplets hanging from a mirrored ceiling. The glass droplets present an abstract interpretation of the Swiss Pavilion’s highlight, the Sea of Fog.
The installation was created by the Embassy of Switzerland in the UAE in collaboration with The Galleria Al Maryah Island. The pavilion’s design and scenography was created by Bellprat Partner, the creative Swiss agency who is also responsible for the creation of the installation.
The pavilion was inaugurated by HE Massimo Baggi, Ambassador of Switzerland to the UAE and Bahrain. He commented: “The Swiss Fog Magnified reflects one of the key elements awaiting the visitors of the Swiss Pavilion; which is an emotional experience centres around authentic Swiss fog… We are looking forward to welcoming you to our pavilion in October 2021.”
