Catinvest Kicks Off €6M Expansion

The French real estate group Catinvest has obtained the building permits to start the expansion of Craiova-based Electroputere Mall.

The renovation works will include the extension of the food court with five additional restaurants and an extra 5,500sq m of retail spaces. At the same time, the company is preparing to deliver a new office and retail building in the complex as part of a €39M investment, adding 9,000sq m of retail and entertainment spaces as well as 16,000sq m of offices.

“The second tranche of our 25,000sq m mixed-use building will be completed in a few weeks. The retail part of this development is already 92 per cent leased. It is therefore the perfect moment to start the construction process of this new extension project and it is really exciting to see Electroputere Parc’s commercial and office areas grow stronger every year,” says Bertrand Catteau, President of Catinvest Group.

The group’s portfolio comprises more than 500,000sq m of spaces in France and Eastern Europe. In Romania, the company manages other shopping centres in Bucharest and Constanța.
