The glasses maker and retailer has opened its second store location outside of London in Cambridge.
The new store is located at 18 Trinity Street in Cambridge and is located in a Grade II listed 18th-Century building which has been remodelled to celebrate art and culture in Cambridge over the past century. The design has been inspired from the understated Kettle Yard aesthetic and the influential Finella of Queen’s Road, Cambridge.
The store features a number of display cabinets that have been inspired by pared back English cabinetry, as well as a curated selection of domestic furniture, including minimalist ‘shaker’ pieces. The store’s material palette is complete with whitewash walls, wooden furniture, rugs and sculptural plinths.
To mark the opening of the new Cubitts Cambridge store, the brand has designed and released three new exclusive silhouettes that explore the unique history of Cambridge and its residents. They include a classic Windsor round-eye and a sharp cat-eye.
