The brand is investing in the region for the first store, with 15 stores expected to open over the next two years.
Far North Queensland will soon be home to a number of 7-Eleven locations, although exact locations have not yet been chosen. The convenience chain brand is expected to invest over $15M in the Far North Queensland area, with the investment expected to help drive economic growth in the region.
General Manager – Channel, Braeden Lord, commented: “Recent investment in our supply chain have made it possible for us to bring our offer to Townsville and Cairns and we are incredibly excited about the chance to serve the local communities in Far North Queensland. 7-Eleven is committed to providing regional Australians with access to the same level of choice and convenience that is available to people who live in metropolitan areas.”
The brand is currently continuing to work with landlords and developers to identify and secure the best sites for their forthcoming stores.
