Ocean Park has unveiled some of the attractions and zones of its new HK$4bn Water World, which is launching later in 2021.
The company has revealed further details about some of Water World’s 27 attractions, which include a surf rider, nine dynamic water slides and Hong Kong’s first-ever indoor wave pool. “Water World is set to bring out the adventurous spirit in all of us,” said Paulo Pong, Deputy Chairman of Ocean Park. “With an architectural design that embraces the natural terrain, it gives adventurers the opportunity to take in the beauty that surrounds our Southern District. We’re so looking forward to welcoming everyone to Water World soon.”
Water World will be home to five unique zones that include Splendid Reef, an expansive open area overlooking the South China Sea. Torrential River is an area for adrenaline junkies, home to thrilling slides.
Thrill Valley will feature extreme slides and freefall experiences, while Adventure Coast is a relaxing zone offering F&B. The Hidden Village includes Hong Kong’s first-ever indoor wave pool, Horizon Cove.
“We are confident that Water World Ocean Park will be another iconic destination for locals and visitors alike,” added Damien Green, CEO of Manulife Hong Kong and Macau.
