Arc’teryx Introduces Micro-Store Concept

The Canadian performance outerwear and equipment retailer Arc’teryx has opened a new store in Manhattan, featuring a newly rebranded micro-store concept.

Called ‘Arc’type’, the new concept store is focused around the brand’s most renowned designs and has opened in place of its previous Icon Stores concept locations in New York City. The small 850sq ft concept store, which is located just across from Central Park, houses the Arc’type curated collection.

The collection includes the brand’s very first jacket which was designed over 20 years ago, the Alpha SV as well as the brand’s first women’s parka, the Patera Parka, originally launched in 2012. The concept store is the brand’s fifth location and the 21st retail store in the US.

Delaney Schweitzer, Chief Commercial Officer, Arc’teryx, commented: “Like our products, the name Arc’type is uniquely ours.  The products available at these stores truly represent who we are – the designs are perfect archetypes of the brand. From industry-leading innovative products to award winners and your personal favourites, these items have been specifically selected to help introduce guests to Arc’teryx and exemplify the most appreciated and versatile products.”
