The brand will reopen its 38,000sq ft store in Southport, Merseyside in August this year after shutting its doors last March following Beales’ administration.
New owners, New Start 2020 purchased the Beales IP address and brand, will reopen the chain’s 38,000sq ft store in Merseyside’s Southport next month on August 12. Administrator KPMG was forced to close all 21 Beales stores and liquidate stock after receiving no offers to purchase the business.
After acquiring the business last year, New Start hired Tony Brown, Chief Executive of the old business to launch a new store in Poole, again set to open in August. The 44,000sq ft store spans three floors and trades under the Beales fascia. Brown believes that there will be further opportunities for UK store opening over the coming years.
The company has also reopened the Beales store in Peterborough city centre. A building formerly known as Westgate House reopened as Beales in May this year.
