Hammerson, owner and manager of Victoria Leeds, has announced that Boodles, the luxury British family-owned jewelers, will open at Victoria Quarter.
Established over two centuries ago, Boodles is an exciting fine jeweller with a committed focus on achieving excellence in all facets of design, craftsmanship and service. The heritage brand has taken a 4,500sq ft space fronting onto Briggate, and joins other luxury brands at Victoria Quarter including Louis Vuitton and Mulberry.
The signing of Boodles follows the recent arrival of fashion and accessories favourite, Kate Spade, and premium footwear brand, Carvela, owned by Kurt Geiger. Kate Spade has taken a 1,190sq ft unit at County Arcade, whilst Carvela has taken a 1,640sq ft space on Queen Victoria Street.
Iain Mitchell, UK Commercial Director at Hammerson, said: “Luxury brands have shown real resilience over the last year underpinned by consumer appetite for premium goods. Boodles is an iconic British fine jewellery brand and we are delighted to have secured them for Victoria Leeds. They will join recent lettings to Kate Spade and Carvela which demonstrates how Victoria Leeds continues to be the premier regional destination.”
Jody Wainwright, Director at Boodles, said: “This is a family business which started two centuries ago in the north of England so we are excited to build on this heritage, bringing the Boodles experience to Leeds. One of our hallmarks is providing exceptional service and the private spaces on the second floor will bring this to life.”
