The world’s first-ever Oreo Café opened its doors at the US mega mall American Dream.
It’s located on the third floor of the IT’SUGAR candy department store, across from the Nickelodeon Universe theme park. The 3,500sq ft cafe features a first-of-its-kind treats bar where visitors can customise their treat or choose from a menu of decadent Oreo-inspired desserts.
Menu items include classic desserts with an Oreo twist, like the waffle sundae with Oreo pieces baked into the waffle, choice of ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate and caramel sauce and a candy garnish. And cookies & cream cheesecake layered with Oreo cookie mousse, drizzled chocolate ganache and milk chocolate rosettes.
There are also Twist Your Oreo treats where diners choose a base – waffle, ice cream sandwich, cone or milkshake – an ice cream, and then select three from a variety of 17 Oreo-inspired toppings to make their own unique dessert. The toppings choices include Oreo pieces, milk chocolate pretzel nibs, crunchy gummy bears, praline pecans and sprinkles. The dessert can then be finished off with a choice of semi-sweet liquid chocolate, whipped cream, chocolate sauce or caramel sauce. There are more than 200 possible combinations.
