Meraki Opens in Riyadh’s Al Faisaliah Hotel

Meraki, a Greek restaurant founded in Fitzrovia, London, has opened in Saudi Arabia.

Al Khozama Management Company has partnered with the Waney Family, founding partners and owners in the likes of Zuma, Roka, La Petite Maison, and The Arts Club, to launch the restaurant on the first floor of the Al Faisaliah Hotel in Riyadh.

The brand was originally created in London in 2017 by Peter, Arjun, and Meher Waney to showcase their love for Greek culture and food. Using the finest Mediterranean ingredients, the menu is made up of contemporary style sharing plates with a twist.

The head chef is Athinagoras Kostakos, who was previously at Bill and Coo Mykonos and the culinary director of Scorpios Mykonos. He said: “We at the Meraki restaurant are very pleased today to present delicious and distinctive modern dishes from the very products of Greek haute cuisine, which combines the exquisite taste of the finest fresh ingredients from the Mediterranean region and our mounting passion of preparing new and varied meals with creativity and unique innovation in a sophisticated and welcoming atmosphere at the luxurious Al Faisaliah Hotel.”

Meraki’s interiors pay homage to Greece with its olive trees, natural wood, and greenery all around the space. It features large floor to ceiling windows, sky roof, outdoor space, and views overlooking the city. Similar to London, the design aesthetic and the restaurant’s upbeat vibe will make it a lively spot for stylish professionals.
