Emaar’s Dubai Hills Mall Opening Delayed

According to Emaar Malls, the developer of the premium shopping mall, the project is now expected to open in Q1 of 2022.

Dubai Hills Mall features a gross leasable area of 2 million square feet, and is expected to become home to 600 retail outlets as well as entertainment and leisure centres and parking for 7,000 vehicles.

The project was initially launched in 2017 and was originally slated to open in late 2019. The Coronavirus pandemic caused a delay for the project, which was then set to open in Q4 of 2020 and a further push back until the second half of 2021 was then announced.

The Dubai Hills Mall project is a part of the Dubai Hills Estate project, a scheme that invites residents to live in a sophisticated address, surrounded with luscious landscaped greens and pristine fairways with the iconic backdrop of the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai skyline. The scheme itself encompasses the Dubai Hill Malls, an 18-hole championship golf course, 1,450,000sq m parks and open spaces and 180,000sq m Dubai Hills Park, as well as much more.
