Plans for a rooftop bar at Goldfields’ 24-storey tower in South Yarra, Australia have received the green light from The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
The bar will sit atop the 24-storey which includes 24,000sq m of commercial space. The 200 person restaurant and rooftop bar will operate seven days a week at the top of the building. The bar, designed by Cox Architecture, has been inspired by rooftop clubs around the world and depicts a modern Mediterranean aesthetic.
The company is already looking for operators that can bring the project to life, having shortlisted three well-known local and international operators, with one hailing from Los Angeles. The tower was topped out in July and the group intends to move quickly to find the right operator for the rooftop space.
Goldfields Managing Director Marco Gattino, commented: “The 627 Chapel St rooftop bar and restaurant will become the go-to destination for unbeatable South Yarra sunsets. It’s designed to be a welcoming, sophisticated space with world-class views, great hospitality and luxury amenities.”
