The Museum of Broadway is due to launch in New York City’s Times Square in summer 2022 as the first permanent location that celebrates Broadway’s rich history.
The interactive and immersive attraction will be located at 145 west Street in Manhattan and is the brainchild of entrepreneur and producer Julie Broadman and Rubik Marketing founder, Diane Nicoletti.
The location will explore the history of theatre in New York, highlights the pioneers, progressive movements and of course some of the world’s most beloved plays and musicals. Immersive installations will put guests inside some of the biggest musicals of all times whilst immersive video projections will walk visitors through the history of NYC’s theatre scene.
Nicoletti commented: “We really thought it would be this great idea that was a hybrid of both an exceptional museum that’s very interactive and colourful and fun. As well as making sure that we were really getting the integrity of the history of Broadway, by including costumes and artefacts and historic elements as well.”
