Despite the impacts of the Coronavirus, Alain Afflelou has continued with its expansion plans in Spain. Last year, the brand opened 14 new locations, with three opening in Catalonia, three in the Basque Country, three in Madrid, two in Galicia and two more between the Valencian Community and Andalusia.
This latest opening brings the group’s total portfolio to 338 locations throughout Spain, with 72 of these dedicated to audiology. The portfolio consists of 77 owned establishments and 261 franchised locations.
The Afflelou Group represents the leading franchise network for optical products and hearing aids in France, and is one of the main European franchisors of the same products. The retailer has a particularly strong presence in Spain, Switzerland and Belgium.
