After acquiring the asset in 2018, property investment company Peakstone has begun the restoration process of 637 Flinders Street in Northbank, Australia.
Designed by Cox Architects, the $80M redevelopment will transform 637 Flinders Street into a 14-level campus style office precinct with a focus on wellness amenity, increased connectivity and retail. Built has been engaged as the contractor for the project, which is expected to be completed in Q3 2022.
The ground floor will boast an area of 970sq m of retail space, which will target two food and beverage operations and a convenience style supermarket. Other amenities on-site will include 202 bike racks, 321 lockers, 25 showers and changerooms and parking for 121 cars, incorporating car share, electric-charging stations and advanced car parking technology.
Chris Khoo, Peakstone Head of Australia and New Zealand, commented: “Occupying a significant 4,200-square-metre site with 100-metre frontages to Flinders and Siddeley Streets, our goal is to elevate the precinct to a premium standard that aligns with its prominent location, and we are confident that Built’s expertise can deliver on this vision.”
