Museum of Ice Cream Opens in Singapore

The Instagram sensation has opened their latest location on Loewen Road and it boasts the biggest sprinkle pool to date of its three locations.

Museum of Ice Cream (MOIC) began as a pop-up in New York in 2016 and has since expanded to other American cities given the strength of its social media. There are currently branches in New York and Austin, unfortunately, the San Francisco outlet was closed due to the pandemic.

The Singapore location, which is the concept’s first international branch, took three years to develop. Founders Maryellis Bunn and Manish Vora, say: “Museum of Ice Cream inspires imagination and creativity for everyone, and we cannot think of a more fitting place to do this than Singapore – a melting pot of vibrant and diverse cultures and the region’s well-loved food paradise.”

The Singapore branch has customised its offering to the local context, with ice cream flavours available including pulut hitam and lychee bandung. The ice cream is developed in house and also comes in dairy-free and vegan options with plans in place to rotate flavours every three months.

Alongside the iconic Sprinkle Pool, the location also boasts a disco where visitors can shed their inhibitions in a mirrored space that is tucked behind a discreet black curtain. With a loop of music, guests can dance in an exciting and innovative environment.
