Uniqlo Celebrates 20th UK Anniversary

The brand is celebrating its 20th anniversary in the UK with a series of local partnerships, events and store updates across London.

Most notably, the anniversary celebrations include a pop-up residency in the brand’s Oxford Street flagship store for Perky Blenders, London-based coffee roasters; as well as a renewed partnership with Tate Modern which will see the creation of a new initiative offering families the opportunity to get creative called ‘Uniqlo Tate Play’. Ice skating at Somerset House and a curated line-up of leading DJs, artists and collectives will also be available from November to January.

New in-store features being implemented include digital layouts which offer interactive and educational information about the Uniqlo LifeWear offerings and a special UTme! Machine for customers to design exclusive limited-edition t-shirts with Tokyo Bike.

Uniqlo Europe Chief Executive, Taku Morikawa, commented: “We are proud that the United Kingdom was the first market Uniqlo chose to launch outside of Japan 20 years ago and wish to express our gratitude and thanks to our customers and partners who are at the heart of everything we do.”
