Edge NYC Unveils Skyscraper Climb Experience

Edge at Hudson Yards has announced that a skyscraper climbing experience, City Climb, will open in New York City in November.

Edge is the highest outdoor observation deck in the Western Hemisphere, and it offers 360 degree views of New York City’s skiline from the 100th floor of 30 Hudson Yards. City Climb has already been billed as the highest external building climb in the world and it challenges visitors to scale the outside of a more than 1,200sq ft skyscraper before leading out from the Edge observation deck at the top.

Jeff T. Blau, Chief Executive of Related Companies, said: “City Climb quite literally shouts from the rooftop that tourism is back in New York City and there has never been a more exciting time to visit. This is an adventure unlike anything the City has seen before, and we are thrilled to welcome the world to an experience of a lifetime. This is an adventure unlike anything the city has seen before.”

Before taking on City Climb, guests will be fitted with special safety harnesses and secured into the course with two cables attached to a trolley that moves with them.
