Ikea to Open First Mall Store in Indonesia

Ikea Indonesia has announced plans to launch its first store inside a shopping mall at Mall Taman Anggrek in West Jakarta, Indonesia.

The store, which is expected to open its doors to the public next year, will span more than 10,000sq m and two storeys of the mall. It will offer customers who live in the centre Jakarta and its surrounding areas a wide range of home living furniture products.

The store will also provide a pick-up point for customers to collect any online purchases. The store itself is intended to increase customer enthusiasm for practical shopping in the midst of the pandemic.

Patrik Lindvall, President Director, PT Rumah Mebel Nusantara (Ikea Indonesia), said: “The construction of the Ikea Mall Taman Anggrek store is our concrete step towards realising the Ikea vision which is to create a better everyday life for the many people. Ikea Indonesia continues to strive to expand accessibility and come closer to reach our customers who are spread across various regions.”
