Netflix Launches Stranger Things Retail Experiences

The streaming service company has welcomed visitors to Stranger Things inspired retail experiences in New York City and Los Angeles.

Located in New York City’s Times Square and The Americana at Brand in Los Angeles, the newly-launched Stranger Things stores feature memorabilia and merchandise alongside immersive show locations such as Joyce’s house, the Palace Arcade, Starcourt Mall, the Russian Lab, the Upside Down and Hawkins High. These locations from the show offer guests the perfect opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of Stranger Things, with the chance to play games at the Palace Arcade, enjoy a spot of shopping at Starcourt Mall, and take part in the Snow Ball at Hawkins High School.

Customers will also be able to get their hands on a selection of merchandise including an exclusive General Mills Stranger Things cereal packaged in original boxes from the 1980s, as well as action figures and customisable apparel.

Greg Lombardo, Head of Experiences, Netflix, said: “We are always looking for new and innovative ways to let Stranger Things fans see themselves more in the show they loved.” He continues, saying that the stores offer a “truly immersive retail experience, totally stoked with ‘80s vibes and the chance to take home a piece of their favourite show with unique merchandise that isn’t available anywhere else.”
