The Copenhagen-based pastry shop has unveiled its new Singapore concept store on Keong Saik Road.
After the successful country debut via a kiosk inside Isetan Shaw House last year, Leckerbaer has opened a new standalone Singapore store. Nestled in a conserved shophouse, the store boasts a minimalistic design with warm tones. The store has been inspired by Scandinavian interior design with the interior featuring wooden panels, light-wooded furniture, warmly lit rattan walls and champagne-coloured oval mirrors.
When entering the café, customers are greeted by a pasty counter where they are able to pick up take away orders. The rest of the café is separated into two zones – the lounge area is decorated with a mix of cushioned bench and rattan wood seating.
Leckerbaer was founded in 2014 by Jakob and Gabi Bär Mogensen and it is known for its signature hand-crafted småkagers (Danish butter cookies). The brand has been brought into Singapore through a partnership with lifestyle and F&B group, Caerus Holding.
Vijay Pillai, CEO, Caerus Holding, said: “From the very beginning of our partnership with Jakob and Gabi, we’ve had a mutual understanding of how we could convey the essence of hygge in Singapore. We knew the limits of a shopping mall ambiance and have always set sights on furthering the brand immersion to what I’ve personally experienced at the Copenhagen store.”
