The Karl Lagerfeld house has unveiled the architectural model with plans of the Karl Lagerfeld Villas Marbella and virtual views of the sea.
The project includes five uniquely shaped villas, one with an additional cottage. All of the villas have individually designed to include swimming pools and thin water panels that will counteract the extreme heat. Each of the pools has glass walls that allow light to enter the basement. Meanwhile, due to the extensive planting with pomegranate trees, palm trees and bushes, the individual villas on the 12,000sq m site are completely shielded from the neighbouring houses.
As with other hotel and real estate projects in which designers are involved (including the likes of Armani and Versace) the villas are being built under a license agreement between the developer Sierra Blanca Estates and the Parisian fashion house.
Lagerfeld mainly relied on black and white colour palette and this aesthetic is reproduced through the use of reflective materials including ceramic tiles with a steel grey shimmering surface of black and white terrazzo tiles with white gold dust and geometric gardens.
