With the opening of a Familia store in St. Petersburg, the retailer now has stores at all of the chain’s shopping centers in Russia.
Familia, the leader in Russia’s off-price retail market, is expanding its partnership with the Atrium European Real Estate (AERE), an international company specialising in real estate investments and the owner of the Park House chain of shopping centres in Russia. The Familia brand now has stores at every one of the chain’s shopping centers in Russia, with the company leasing 7,500sq m. The most recent opening took place at the Park House shopping centre in St. Petersburg. This is one of the largest lease deals involving a single partner in the fashion segment in 2021.
Familia ranks third in terms of leased retail space in the fashion category in Russia. The total sales area of all the company’s stores—more than 370 at the moment—is over 412,000sq m. Only Moscow has more Familia stores than St. Petersburg, which now has 33.
Svetlana Mozhaeva, Familia’s CEO, said: “Strengthening our presence in Russia, Familia’s key market, is one of our strategic priorities. The company is a pioneer and the leader in the off-price segment in Russia, and one of the largest tenants in fashion retail. We are committed to working with leading international players, which guarantees high standards of service and quality retail space. The opening of our thirty-third store and our first at Park House shopping centre in St. Petersburg is another step in Familia’s expansion in one of the key regions of the country for us. Our long-term goal is to make quality premium-brand items more accessible to as many people as possible throughout Russia.”
