Rituals Cosmetics has underlined its commitment to expanding in Asia Pacific with three new store openings in Hainan and promotional activities in Macau ahead of Lunar New Year.
The wellbeing brand has opened two shop-in-shops in Haikou – a 10sq m space at Times DF x DFS Haikou Mission Hills Duty-Free Complex and a 35sq m location at the Global Duty Free Plaza store, run by Dufry and Hainan Development Holdings, in the Mova Mall complex.
A third shop-in-shop in Sanya, measuring 35sq m, opened on 30th December at the Hainan Tourism Duty Free Shopping Complex operated by Lagardère Travel Retail and Hainan Tourism Investment Duty Free Co (HTDF).
In line with the huge demand for air care and home fragrance products amongst Chinese consumers, all three locations focus on Rituals’ Home fragrance collections: Classic Collection, Private Collection, the luxury Signature and Mansion collections and Car Perfumes. The Mansion collection is exclusively available in travel retail in the Asia Pacific region.
Melvin Broekaart, Rituals Director Global Travel Retail, says: “Asia Pacific is a key focus region for Rituals in 2022 as we continue with our mission to help consumers globally slow down and rediscover happiness in the smallest of things. The three stores offer the brand fantastic exposure and are an important steppingstone to further openings in Hainan and beyond in Asia Pacific.”
