The new Liftoff experience is an open-area ride that provides spectacular views of the skyline and mountains in Las Vegas.
Joining a myriad of other experiences at Area15, the immersive art, events and entertainment district in Las Vegas, the new attraction has been billed as an ‘imbibe-and-ride experience.’ This is a full-service bar and open-air lounge that is inspired by aeronauts and aviators. At Liftoff, visitors can enjoy a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks on board the ride.
For the experience itself, guests will be strapped into their seat with their feet dangling in the air before ascending to the 130-foot summit. Liftoff also features lighting and sound effects that create an immersive experience.
Manufactured by Aerophile, the world leader in balloon flight, the experience is constructed from more than 44 tonnes of steel and features a 16 seat gondola that rotates 360-degees. Liftoff is billed as the very first experience of its kind built in the US.
Also launching this year is a new sensory experience called Illuminarium that takes guests to recreated worlds, covering experiences such as the bottom of the ocean to outer space.
