The final countdown has begun as the 2022 Winter Olympics will kick off on 4 February. Fashion will be front and centre in Beijing as some of the biggest sportswear brands will be dressing some of the world’s best athletes.
Ahead of the Winter Olympic Games, global sportswear brands have unveiled the opening and closing ceremony styles, podium outfits, village gear and different uniform kits to support the athletes during their performance. Here, we have rounded up some of the teams’ outfits.
Chinese sportswear company ANTA is the official sportswear partner of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics Games and Paralympics Winter Games, the highest level of sponsorship available for the Games. In addition, ANTA Sports will provide Chinese athletes with first-class sports equipment. Team China’s uniforms feature 12 team kits for 15 events and the podium uniform “China Dragon Clothes”. ANTA also created lights, warm and structured kits for athletes in indoor events while applying its advanced technologies and double-layered cotton materials to create water-repellent and windproof outfits for outdoor games.
For the Opening Ceremony, Team Canada will be dressed brightly in red with the Team Canada 22 Down Jacket layered on top of the Team Canada 22 Transformable Parka, both of which are water-repellent and windproof. For the celebration of the Closing Ceremony, the Team Canada 22 Down Jacket and Team Canada Transformable Parka are back, but this time in a white version of the maple metamorphosis print. A couple of other accessories to note in the kit are a Wool-Blend Reversible Beanie which can be worn as red or white with a simple flip inside out and Quilted Mittens on a String.
