Paramount Midtown has opened just ten minutes from Dubai’s original Paramount hotel and is looking to bring Hollywood to the desert.
Dubai’s Hollywood-themed Paramount hotel has opened a second hotel that will lean towards corporate clientele, the Paramount Midtown, just 10 minutes from the original location.
The original hotel’s popularity and Dubai’s segmented geography have meant that opening a second hotel, also by developer DAMAC, by the same name a stone’s throw away from the original is “perfectly feasible,” Nicholas Chalmers, the Director of Paramount Hotel Midtown, told Arabian Business.
“We are blessed with being attractive to leisure and business travellers. And we found that Paramount Dubai is so popular and so busy that having another hotel in close proximity is perfectly feasible,” Chalmers said.
“Dubai is very segmented; Business Bay and Sheikh Zayed Road are actually two different markets, even though they’re 10 minutes apart, it doesn’t address the exact same segmentation of clientele,” Jean Faivre, Senior Vice President of Hospitality at DAMAC Hotels & Resorts told Arabian Business.
