Printemps to Open First Foreign Store

The French luxury department store has said that it plans to open its first major shop abroad in Doha this September, ahead of the capital hosting the World Cup.

The store will be located in the new upscale Doha Oasis complex, which includes a five-star hotel, attraction park, restaurants and luxury apartments. Offering at least 550 brands with more than 30 exclusively launching for the first time in Qatar, the 30,000sq m store will occupy three floors of the elliptical building designed by the architectural firm Yabu Pushelberg.

Printemps Qatar will be the brand’s second largest point of sale after its flagship on Boulevard Haussmann, which covers 45,000sq m and the company stated in a press release: “The first post-confinement opening of a department store in the world. The new Printemps Doha is a new-generation department store, combining an immersive physical experience and new technologies for an ultra-personalised customer service.”

In addition to the fashion offering, which will see the likes of Louis Vuitton, Dior and Gucci displayed, the store will offer 14 restaurants – including Pierre Macolini, Crazy Pizza and Twiga – as well as access to personal shoppers and consultations with internationally renowned stylists.
