The company is extending its brand into real estate for fans who want to make Disney a bigger part of their lives.
The much-loved entertainment giant is launching a new business to develop master-planned residential communities around the country that will tap into Disney’s legendary expertise in storytelling and customer service.
The new communities will be called Storyliving by Disney and will operate as part of the company’s theme parks division. The developments will be open to guests of all ages and will be designed to reflect the history and art of their specific locations.
“As we prepare to enter our second century, we are developing new and exciting ways to bring the magic of Disney to people wherever they are, expanding storytelling to storyliving,” stated Josh D’Amaro, Chairman, Disney Parks Division.
The first Storyliving development will be located in Rancho Mirago. Called Cotino, the development will bring together 1,900 housing units, a mixed-use district featuring shopping, dining and entertainment options and a beachfront hotel and beach park.
