Leading hospitality company Accor is expanding its offering in Berlin with two openings this month and the new Greet Berlin Alexanderplatz is the first upcycling hotel in the capital.
To achieve this, common areas and the hotel’s 61 rooms have been partly furnished with sustainable and second-hand items and the building itself previously housed a hotel. In addition, ibis Styles Berlin Treptow reopens after an extensive renovation. Located directly on the Spree river with a waterfront breakfast terrace, bar, fitness room, conference facilities and game room, the design of the 126-room hotel pays homage to the essence of Berlin – colorful, modern and casual.
With the opening of Greet Berlin Alexanderplatz, Accor launches a fresh and sustainable hotel concept in the capital. The second of two greet hotels in Germany; an existing hotel was deliberately renovated in line with the brand’s green ethos. Many of the supposedly “new” features are actually second-hand, with a design and architect team brought on to breathe new life into them.
Following an extensive renovation, the ibis Styles Berlin Treptow reopened on 15 March. The hotel’s unique design concept “Colors of Berlin”, pays tribute to the city’s striking features, from local sports clubs through to international companies. The hotel offers a breakfast area, bar, leisure area with fitness and game room and two conference rooms with space for up to 50 people.
