The iconic outdoor brand has entered into a partnership with travel-tech start-up Cabana to offer vans and gear to rent for adventure enthusiasts.
Eddie Bauer is giving consumers a new way to explore the Pacific Northwest. Launched in 2020, Cabana calls itself a “luxe mobile hotel company,” and offers vans to rent for three to five days. The vans include beds, storage, bathrooms, Internet access and other amenities.
As part of the deal, Eddie Bauer has outfitted five Cabana vans with Bauer-branded bedding, gear and accessories. Customers can start their Pacific Northwest adventure making coffee with Eddie Bauer’s Stanley French Press and end it underneath the retailer’s oversized downthrow.
“Eddie Bauer has outfitted adventure-seekers and expeditions throughout the world for more than 100 years,” said Damien Huang, Eddie Bauer CEO. “By partnering with Cabana, we hope to continue inspiring, enabling and empowering people to have outdoor experiences, and make it easier than ever to be equipped to explore nature.”
Last summer, Eddie Bauer launched its first-ever rental program. The offerings include technical rainwear, insulated parkas and ski jackets, fleece, leggings and joggers, UPF tops and bottoms, boots, hikers, tents, sleeping bags, day packs and other items.
