The leading fashion group is strengthening its presence in the country with opening of a new retail concept store on Paris’ Boulevard Haussmann, and a pledge to open over 70 new stores in the coming years.
According to Mango, France is a strategic market for the retail group, and it is looking to increase its stores from the 223 it had at the end of 2021 to 300 by the end of 2025. In order to achieve this target, Mango intends to open 20 stores in France this year, including 12 new company stores and franchised locations in key cities such as Rheims, Colmar, Orange and Tours. The remaining eight will be corner stores, operated under agreements with major groups such as Galeries Lafayette.
This rapid expansion will continue from 2203 to 2025, with the brand intending to open between 20 and 24 new stores each year, approximately two new stores each month. Alongside these store openings, Mango is looking to invest in the renewal of its store network over the next few years.
This renewal has started with the €3.5M investment in the refurbishment of the Haussmann store and two other large stores in the centre of Paris.
