Oechsle, one of the most important retail chains in Peru, has launched its 25th store in the country, which is installed in a two-storey unit in the MegaPlaza Independencia shopping centre in Lima.
The new store, which
extends over nearly 8,000sq m, will open its doors in July and resumes
Oechsle’s opening strategy in Peru, as well as ratifying the brand’s position
in the country and its confidence in the market national, even in the midst of
uncertainty.
Recently, the department store chain was involved in a scandal due to its
campaign for Father’s Day, starring actor Sebastián Rubio, who was one of the
campaign promoters of the current president of the republic, Pedro Castillo,
which aroused discontent among consumers, who expressed themselves on social
networks.
The chain, owned by the Intercorp group, celebrates 14 years in the local market with stores in the main cities of the country such as Lima, Arequipa, Cusco, Trujillo, Ica and Huancayo, to name a few. The brand is the direct competition of Falabella and Ripley in the country, and specializes in fashion and decoration.
