Nissan Stadium is opening several checkout-free stores in time for the 2022 football preseason.
Fans of the Tennessee Titans NFL professional football franchise will have access to five frictionless stores at the team’s Nashville-based home field, Nissan Stadium, during summer 2022. The stores will be operated by the stadium’s restaurant and hospitality partners, Levy and Legends, on both the concourse and club levels.
The stores will provide a frictionless shopping experience with the Zippin checkout-free platform. Leveraging the Zippin solution, the stores will enable shoppers to tap a credit card to enter and then select the items they want. Zippin’s artificial intelligence (AI) software automatically identifies the items, using overhead cameras and sensors, and adds them to a virtual shopping cart.
The consumer can put the items in their pocket, bag, purse, or simply carry them out, with no checkout required. When they exit, the purchases are automatically charged and a receipt is available online. According to Zippin, by eliminating checkout lines, its frictionless solution cuts the time it takes to get through concessions from an average of 20 minutes to as little as 20 seconds.
Checkout-free shopping will be available at these stores for the range of entertainment and other sporting events the multi-use venue hosts every year.
