Marc O’Polo Drives Forward with Expansion

Marc O’Polo is driving forward its own internationalisation. After scaling the online shop by 18 new countries to a total of 41 and expanding the marketplace business worldwide, the premium casual label now wants to start with a stationary presence in Canada.

Partner for the expansion is Hudson’s Bay. Up to ten areas are planned with the Canadian department store group, as Marc O’Polo reports to FashionNetwork.com. At the same time, the Stephanskirchen-based company is opening further stores in four other European countries: in Denmark, Greece, Italy and Spain. To this end, the company wants to enter into strategic partnerships for shop-in-shop concepts.

The expansion of the wholesale business is also to be promoted with new showrooms in Athens, Stockholm and Verona. Marc O’Polo is also rolling out the customer loyalty program in Italy and Spain. Other countries are to follow.

“Internationalization is the strategic cornerstone for continuing our 55-year success story. We are pursuing an omni-channel approach for the best possible brand and shopping experience for our customers,” says CEO Maximilian Böck. “The selected partnerships in the respective countries complement our online presence there perfectly and help us to quickly expand our brand awareness in these markets,” says Böck.

Sales will start in September with the Marc O’Polo Main Line Fall/Winter 2022 collection alongside Hudson’s Bay Company in Magasin du Nord (Denmark), in the Greek market at Attica, in Spain at El Cortes Inglés and in Italy at Coin and renaissance The denim line, shoes, accessories, body and beachwear, as well as home products, are to follow in a next step.
