Honor Flagship Store to Focus on Experience

Tech brand Honor has partnered with Gensler, a California architecture firm, to launch the new Life Store format in China which focuses on immersive and experiential product interaction.

Honor claims this new experiential retail format, which debuted last month on a famous pedestrian street in Taiyuan is intended to serve as a brand outreach, showcasing the lifestyle options made possible by using the company’s technology.

According to the brand, the 720sq m space features a light, warm, and minimal interior design contrasted by bright signage. There is a double-height atrium area when customers enter the store and green plants are placed throughout the store to help to temper the technical and modern atmosphere.

A 360-degree glazed repair room allows customers to see technicians at work, and a social gathering area enables public discussions and training sessions. There are spaces where customers can test products and gain a tactile experience.

“Gensler’s collaboration with Honor on this new Life Store format invigorates the retail experience for the brand, and serves as a preview of what Honor’s future flagship experience would entice,” said Richard Chang, Project Director and Retail Practice Area Leader for Gensler Greater China.
