Marc O’Polo Hits Half a Billion

The company is on course for growth as the premium casual label achieved provisional brand sales of EUR592M in the 21/22 financial year. This represents an increase of 35 per cent compared to the previous year.

The fashion company grew disproportionately in earnings before taxes (EBIT) – and this despite high investments at the headquarters in Stephanskirchen, the introduction of an ERP system and the sustainability and internationalisation strategy.

“For the first time in the company’s history, we have generated sales of more than half a billion euros. Our strategy and investments in internationalization, modernization of the brand and sustainability of products and companies are paying off in full,” says CEO Maximilian Böck. “This result is particularly significant in view of the ongoing pandemic and the war in Ukraine. Because rising raw material prices, delivery problems and a changing consumer mood definitely influenced the business,” Böck continues to sum up.

At around 80 per cent, the key driver of sales growth is the denim line, which is aimed at the younger target group. The development of international business has a further high share. 40 per cent of the growth was achieved outside the home market.
