The brand’s store in downtown Karlsruhe is being remodelled, and will include retail, office and restaurant space.
The new building, which is planned in compliance with the highest sustainability standards, is expected to be completed by the end of 2025. The first preparatory measures for the implementation of the project will begin the year and the last day of sale for the current P&C store offering will be October 15.
The existing building has been an integral part of Karlsruhe City for many decades, however it now has significant defects in accordance with today’s structural requirements due to its age and the various construction phases. This means it no longer allows permanent continued operations. An interim location is set to open in the centre of Karlsruhe in March 2023 during the renovation period.
Karen Feldpausch-Sturm, Director Sales Management at Peek & Cloppenburg, says: “Karlsruhe is an important location for us. We have been there for our customers in Karlsruhe for almost 50 years and are now investing in the future of the city centre. We look forward to being able to welcome our customers in a modern new building with an attractive retail space from 2026.”
