The second-largest chicken franchise by sales in South Korea, bhc Group, will launch its third store in Malaysia next month as it looks to grow its footprint in Southeast Asia.
The upcoming site will open its doors in a shopping complex located inside the capital of Kuala Lumpur and it will be operated by a local logistics company under a master franchise agreement. It will be the third overseas restaurant for the company in this market and it is already in talks with another retail company in Singapore with a view to opening a bhc chicken restaurant in the city-state by April 2023.
“With our bhc chicken taking the lead, our ultimate goal is to promote Korean food and culture globally by bringing our various restaurant brands to other countries,” an official from the company said.
