Scalpers Making Moves Across Europe

Spanish company Scalpers is considering expanding its operations by acquiring or investing in other fashion companies. At the same time, the company has announced its market entry in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands for 2023.

The business, run by Borja Vázquez, is currently looking for business opportunities that “add value to its portfolio” the group’s CEO told the online newspaper El Español. The profitability of some companies in the textile sector is an argument for the company to diversify its business. In 2021, the group (which also owns Mim Shoes and Victoria) closed the year with sales of €110M, while targeting sales of over €160M for 2022.

In terms of retail development, Scalpers is preparing to launch in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands next year, with four to five stores planned to open in each market. However, these markets are not completely new territory for the company, which already has sales of almost three million euros in Germany. The chain is present online in 18 countries, while its retail presence has so far been concentrated in Spain, Portugal, Mexico, Chile and Turkey.
