New Chiado Store Opens

The new store specialises in Portuguese brands and is aimed at travellers, with an endless range of items from clothing to cosmetics.

“Say hello to our new store in Chiado! It’s official, you can now find us at Rua Nova do Almada 26, with a wider variety of cool Portuguese brands,” announces The Portuguese Concept, the name of the brand, on Instagram, after its space recently opened in Baixa Pombalina.

Vera Torok and Diogo Morgado are at the helm of The Portuguese Concept, both with experience in the market: Morgado, with the fun socks brand called My Traveling Socks; and Torok, with his own jewellery label – Mel Studio. Both took their projects to the new store, where they exhibit a selection of more than 20 Portuguese seals.

“It’s a house for Portuguese brands, made with foreigners in mind, but also with the locals,” confirms Vera Torok to Time Out, adding that they are open every day from 11am to 7pm, and offer a selection of pieces from 5 to 150 euros.
