An entertainment destination that combines tech-driven mini-golf with food and drink and whose creators include the founders of Topgolf has closed a new round of funding to support its US expansion.
The company has opened at Brickell City Centre, in Miami, an outdoor dining, entertainment, shopping, culture and community centre developed by Swire Properties. The new location comes on the heels of the company’s announcement earlier this month that it has secured $150M in growth capital from BlackRock to support its expansion in top US markets.
Puttshack opened its first US location in 2021, at The Interlock in Atlanta, followed by Chicago, Boston, and Miami. A fourth location will open this winter, in St. Louis.
Additional locations expected to open in 2023 include Dallas, Denver, Houston, Nashville, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Scottsdale, Arizona, plus a second location in Atlanta. Other US are locations to be announced soon.
“Puttshack is tapping into new markets with its innovative approach on the beloved game of mini golf, making it the clear leader in the social entertainment industry,” said William Im, Director in BlackRock’s credit team. “The demand in this space is compelling, and we are excited to support Puttshack in its rapid expansion. There is a positive outlook on the horizon with substantial growth for the company.”
