The Spanish fashion company Mango continues its geographic expansion and will end this year with 270 new points of sale, reaching a total of 2,600 spread across five continents, and will end 2022 with global investments of 120 million euros, almost triple those of 2021.
According to year-end forecasts, of the total investments made during 2022, 40 million euros were allocated to the opening and remodelling of stores and the rest was divided between technology, logistics and structure.
Mango’s Commercial Director, César de Vicente, explained that 2022 was a “very special” year with the opening of emblematic stores, such as the one the brand opened on Fifth Avenue, in New York.
In addition, the company is expanding in countries such as the US, Canada and India, as well as growing and consolidating itself in mature markets such as Spain, France, Italy, Germany and the UK.
This internationalization drive has led the company to be present in more than 115 markets, after entering Morocco and Cameroon this year, and achieving 79% of its turnover abroad.
“Being in so many countries allows us to diversify and take advantage of more opportunities and not just depend on certain markets,” said De Vicente.
