Zimbabwe hospitality leader, Africa Albida Tourism (AAT) is delighted to officially launch the first and largest purpose-built spa in Victoria Falls, situated within the grounds of Victoria Falls Safari Lodge estate, which incorporates Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, Victoria Falls Safari Club, Victoria Falls Safari Suites and Lokuthula Lodges.
Officially opened on 23 November, The Victoria Falls Safari Spa is located in indigenous woodland and was built in response to the growing demand for wellness travel. The spa is unique to Victoria Falls, and AAT is ideally placed to have designed this authentic experience, true to the destination and enhancing health and wellness for guests.
Speaking at the launch, Ross Kennedy, AAT’s Chief Executive says: “After a busy day game-spotting on a drive through the bush or viewing the breath-taking Victoria Falls, there’s nothing better than indulging in a relaxing treatment in a spa reminiscent of an African tented safari camp surrounded by peaceful bush. We are hugely excited to launch the first purpose-built spa in Victoria Falls, which has opened amid a year of celebration for AAT, with Lokuthula Lodges and The Boma – Dinner & Drum Show celebrating their 30th anniversaries, while Victoria Falls Safari Club turned 10. Next year is looking very strong for the destination, and quite possibly, it could be the best three or four years that we have ever known for tourism in Zimbabwe. Victoria Falls Safari Spa, which is open to guests from other hotels, local residents and in-house guests, is, in keeping with the rest of the hospitality group’s portfolio, bold and colourful, uses Ndebele design elements, makes the most of its natural environment and is furnished to portray the rich textures of Africa.
Rich in birdlife, and with the occasional warthog or bushbuck passing by, the Victoria Falls Safari Spa offers a unique and authentic experience, built upon indigenous botanicals, seed oils and healing practices, seed oils and healing practices.
