Versace Eyes Chinese Market

The Italian luxury brand is making a big bet on the Chinese market, and the number of the brand’s boutiques within the market has now increased to 44.

After opening two new stores in Shanghai in September 2022, Versace has launched an additional five new stores last month in Chengdu SKP, Chengdu Yintai Center in 99, Hangzhou Hubin Yintai in 77, Shenzhen Vientiane City and Nanjing Deji Plaza.

The five new stores have been mostly decorated with materials such as marble, ceramics, wood and gold metals. This design combines classical and modern beauty that fully demonstrates the brand’s luxury concept and tonality. The stores host Versace’s men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, bags, shoes, accessories and household goods.

The acceleration of store openings in the Chinese market is part of a global store upgrade and expansion strategy that is being led by Versace’s new Chief Executive, Emmanuel Gintzburger, who officially joined the brand last March.
