Chanel has opened three spaces covering its fashion & accessories to beauty portfolio at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport’s newly upgraded Terminal 1. First, Chanel opened a boutique dedicated to its fashion, watches and jewellery collections – which is operated by the maison.

In partnership with the Lagardère Travel Retail/Aéroports de Paris Extime Duty Free Paris joint venture, it also opened a boutique dedicated to fragrances, makeup and skincare, as well as a beauty corner. Located opposite each other, the fashion and beauty boutiques span around 170sq m and 38sq m respectively. Both boutiques were designed by architect Peter Marino.

The décor of the beauty boutique features low furniture in a palette of white, black and gold, along with flowing shelves and alcoves installed like bookcases. Arranged asymmetrically, the latter “rupture the lines to catch the eye, playing on their matt and shiny nuances”.

Here the House fragrance collections are displayed, including Les Exclusifs de Chanel. Perfumed ceramic cubes allow visitors to discover each fragrance. The entire range of skincare – including N°1 de Chanel – the make-up, as well as several products exclusive to the airport, including L’Huile de Jasmin.

The beauty offer is extended with a 16sq m satellite corner, installed close to the multi-brand area of the terminal. This open-plan space provides a modern, elegant setting in lacquered black with a mirror-like finish and satiny white. Visible from the terminal’s mezzanine, its protective canopy is marked with a large double C.

Les Eaux de Chanel collection – exclusively available in this area of Terminal 1 – is displayed in a trunk, as a reminder of the destinations evoked by these eaux de toilette. The corner is also home to masculine beauty with men’s fragrances and body, face and shaving products under the Bleu de Chanel and Allure Homme Sport ranges. A selection of skincare products from the Boy de Chanel and Hydra Beauty lines completes the offer.

In addition, for the first time in an airport, the brand presents its In Flight Essentials: four-step beauty rituals (prepare, moisturise, colour and perfume) to be carried out during the flight. To help travellers make the most of their trip, Chanel has created three other skincare rituals designed according to the climate of their destinations.
